On the 3rd of November 1968 4 young students (namely Ennio, Giorgio, Alfredo and Walter) who used to organize dance parties in Rimini in their small private club, decided to rent an underground floor of a building (very trendy thing those days), where the upper floors were an English pub. The name was "CARNABY CAVE" while the pub was called "CARNABY ARMS". The management style was basically English. For example even the beer was imported exclusively from UK, just for 3 clubs in Rimini: Carnaby, Rose & Crown (managed by the same company of Carnaby from '76 to '87) & Bull & Bush.
After a few years, 3 of the original partners (Ennio, Giorgio and Alfredo) took over the whole building. As time passed, the club has been experiencing the evolution of the customer base too, in terms of nationalities apart from Italians the predominance of Scandinavians, Germans, Dutch, Swiss and Polish etc. Even today the Carnaby is one of the most venerated clubs by visitors on holiday on the Rimini Riviera, run by the younger generation of partners, under the wise and strategic guidence of the original founding members.
